    Mark had the honor of being a USC thesis student of Screenwriting Guru Syd Field. In addition, he studied with screenwriter and poet Paula Brancato and sitcom writer Teresa O’Neill (Home Improvement, Becker, Coach). Mark was the winner of a 2007 Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences grant.

     

    Screenplays:

    Juche Rules Now a short film starring Roy Vongtama, Ryun Yu, Charles Kim, and Brent Tyler. The film was directed by Kristina Romero and produced by Resonant Entertainment.  It won BEST SHORT at both the Moondance and Poppy Jasper Film Festivals, AUDIENCE FAVORITE at Moondance, runner-up for Best Short at Mt. Rainier Film Festival, and was  nominated for Best Drama at Burbank International Film Festival and for Best Screenplay at the 2010 Edgemar Short Film Festival in Santa Monca.  Visit the website: JucheRules.com
